Nem, a tapas bar

Carrer Illa de Cuba, 9,

Located on a mezzanine, where there was an old English pub, from which it still retains the bar and wooden floors. Warmly decorated in white, you can eat at low tables or at high tables with stools. They call themselves “Nem, A Tapas Bar” and it is true. The portions they serve are in top form, but enough.
The menu is short and sweet enough but if you go as a couple, I recommend sharing. 4 or 5 dishes  and a dessert each, that should be enough. The grace of this place, aside from the creativity of its owners / chefs, Lee and Gonzalo, is that the first Wednesday of every month they change the menu. There are 3 or 4 “winners” that never change, like the Patatas Bravas (hot spicy potatoes, not’ll have never tasted the same, I assure you) the Nems (Vietnamese spring rolls), the marinated salmon  or asiatic steak tartar. There is always fish sashimi (changing fish and garnish each month) very well prepared.
Chapter dessert is spectacular. Neither change the coolant chocolate, although each month it is  served in a different way (this month may go with mango and rosemary or coffee and tonka). The rest are usually very refreshing.
The wine list is not very extensive, but they have good enough references and prices for everyone. Personally, when we eat sian or curry meals, we likethem with beer.
Sharing dishes  and taking a couple of beers each (with the corresponding rhum coffee) the bill does not usually go more than 40-45 euros. With wine, things can change.
Signal  of doing things well, is that you must reserve. Otherwise, it is almost impossible to find a table.
